HealthyPet Reminders

Overview

HealthyPet provides inexpensive marketing services for veterinary practices. HealthyPet sends out mail reminders to selected clientele on behalf of the veterinary practice. These personalized reminders list upcoming veterinary treatments and valuable pet health information.

HealthyPet provides the following services for Veterinary Practices:
1. Publishes and distributes HealthyPet to your clients each month with your reminder message
2. Teach veterinary staff how to efficiently export reminders and upload them to the HealthyPet website.
3. Provide free customer service support for as long as you need assistance with your reminders.

The participating Veterinary Clinics are responsible to:
1. Pay $.55 for each magazine reminder that we mail on your behalf.
2. Follow the simple procedures to export your reminder file and upload it to our site (or simply email the reminder file to us.)

Setup

To enable the reminder system to operate properly, a number of setup items need to undertaken. To setup the HeatlthyPet reminder system, follow these steps:
1. Open up DVMax

2. Open Section menu, select System Constants

3. Select the Default Constants Tab

4. Enter a valid HealthyPet Account Number

5. Select the Client & Patients tab

6. Select “Include date: with WP reminders”

7. Click OK

HealthyPet Upload:

1. Select the Section menu

2. Select General Management

3. Select the Utilities tab

4. Click the HealthyPet Reminder file radio button

5. Click OK

6. Enter a valid start date and end range for the reminders you wish to upload, click ok. Patient Reminders are queried for those date ranges and inactive clients are removed from the selection.

7. If the upload is successful, a dialogue appears stating such.

On upload, a file with the name made up of the HealthyPet Account Number plus a 14 character DateTimeStamp is created. If you are running single user, the file is saved onto the hard drive next to the DVMax structure file. If you are running 4D Client, the file is placed next to the 4D Client.exe application. This file is then ftped to the HealthyPet ftp server. If it is unsuccessful, a dialog is displayed advising the user that there was a setup problem. Once the file has been sent, it is deleted from the local computer.
